Your questions answered

  • What is a Virtual Brand?

A virtual brand is a delivery only brand. Customers place orders online on delivery platforms like Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat and direct ordering channels. There is no walk in or dine in trade.

  • How does Dish’d work?

We create awesome virtual brands that deliver strong sales. We partner with you to exclusively sell these brands in your area on the delivery platforms.

Your staff simply prepare the food in your kitchen and we take care of the delivery.

  • Do I need to have an existing restaurant?

This can be a standalone business or added to your existing business i.e. you can prepare the Dish’d brands alongside your own brand.

  • What type of kitchen do I need in order to become a Dish’d virtual brands partner? Can I do this from home?

You will need a commercial kitchen with commercial extraction and gas or 3-phase electricity.

Our brands go into takeaways, dark kitchens and restaurants. They cannot be prepared from home.

We require a fully halal kitchen, a minimum FSA rating of 3 and strictly no alcohol on site.

  • What equipment and kitchen set up will I need?

The main cooking equipment is a large griddle and freestanding fryers. We will guide you on how to set up your kitchen to maximise efficiency.

  • Are any of the Dish’d food franchise brands available in my area?

Please contact us and we will advise you if your area is available. If it is taken, we will put you on the waiting list.

  • How much can I earn by partnering with Dish’d?

We aim for every franchise partner to do weekly sales of £8,859 to £15,321.

We will carry out a detailed analysis of your location to provide a realistic forecast of the sales that you could achieve.

We will only partner with you if we have confidence in the sales opportunity in your area.

  • How much profit will I make as a virtual brand partner?

Weekly sales of £8,859 to £15,321 will generate profits of £1,996 to £3,451.

Looking at it another way, an average order of £22 will give a profit of £4.96.

  • What is the food and packaging cost associated with Dishd’s virtual brands?

We aim for the food and packaging cost to be 25% of net sales.

  • How many staff will I need in order to cater to Dish’d virtual brands?

Our model is based on using your existing staff as much as possible. We will support you with forecasting your staffing requirements.

  • What support and training do you provide?

Our support and training is market leading! We have a comprehensive onboarding process to prepare you for launch. When it comes to launch itself, we will train you and your team over a 2 week period.

  • How are you any different to the other virtual brand companies out there?

Our sales per location are significantly higher than our competitors. This is because:

    • We are highly selective who we partner with
    • We will only go into a location where we have confidence in the sales opportunity
    • We invest in creating high performing brands
    • We offer unrivalled training and ongoing support
  • How much do you charge as a virtual brand company?

We can discuss our fees when we speak. Our aim is to be cost neutral at worst (compared to your existing delivery business) or even cost positive with savings on food and packaging costs
